Some progress was made this week, as Kristi Noem was finally relieved of her position as the head of DHS. While there are still many more leaders who need to be held accountable, this shows that with enough support and negative publicity, we can force change. There is still a lot of work ahead, but it’s time to start getting excited about the third No Kings event happening on March 28. We expect it to be the biggest protest in American history, so we hope you’ll be part of it!
Action List
Call and email your Senators and Representatives and tell them to end the war in Iran
While the War Powers Resolution failed last week, the fight is far from over. Trump will ask for billions more of taxpayer money to continue this war, in addition to the lives of U.S. service members and Iranian citizens. Use the Indivisible call scripts and email templates to tell your Senators and Representatives to refuse to fund Trump’s war on Iran.
Get creative and make your sign for No Kings III | Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m.
No Kings III is just weeks away! Don’t wait until the last minute to make your sign. Join us this Saturday in Rocky River for a high-energy, community-building creative jam focused on creating bold visuals for No Kings III Day. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
We'll provide supplies (while they last), but it's very helpful if you bring:
Poster board or sturdy cardboard
5-gallon paint stir sticks (great sign handles - often free at Home Depot or Lowe's)
Extras of these materials to donate if you're able
Attend a training on ICE Defense | Sunday, March 15 at 3 p.m.
Cleveland Heights for Immigrant Rights and the Interreligious Task Force are offering another live training, this time with added information on how to fight the expansion of Flock in Cleveland and Shaker Heights. For more information and to register, click here.
Sign up for Indivisible's Neighbor2Neighbor program targeting key battleground states
This week, Indivisible's Neighbor2Neighbor (N2N) program targeting key battleground states, including Ohio, was launched. N2N is based on relational organizing and is a super convenient way to engage Democratic voters who also happen to be your neighbors.
Once you sign up, you'll be provided with a list of 10 addresses within your immediate neighborhood. You'll canvas those neighbors with information and resources on how to prepare for an ICE presence. There's no ask - you're simply providing information and in turn building relationships. And while the program is launching with ICE Defense resources, the message will iterate to focus on other topics like the upcoming midterms.
