About the event
We’ll be asking them to show solidarity with their immigrant employees and community members as part of the nationwide “Signs of Solidarity” campaign. This has turned into a really positive way to have meaningful conversations with our business community - not just to advise them of their rights but to show support and build connections.
What: We’ll go to various local businesses and ask them to place signs of solidarity in their windows and designate a private area for employees that ICE cannot legally enter without a signed judicial warrant. You’ll be in a group with more experienced canvassers and will have the opportunity to observe until you feel comfortable enough to take the lead.
Where: We’ll meet at Koffie Café - 2517 Market Avenue Cleveland, OH, just across from the West Side Market and canvas area businesses on foot.
When: Saturday, 1/3 @ 2 pm
