You'll leave with an understanding of what ballot initiatives can help achieve —and how that process must evolve to truly benefit Ohioans. The citizen-initiative process belongs to the people, and understanding it is the first step to protecting it.

About Ohio Ballot Protection
Ohio Ballot Protection was born in the summer of 2025, when a small group of women from Northeast Ohio started meeting to discuss how to safeguard democracy close to home.
What began as a few spirited conversations soon evolved into a focused, statewide effort to strengthen fair and transparent elections in Ohio.
OBP's mission is to restore voter confidence through education, advocacy, and community action.
Their work helps Ohio voters—current and future—understand how the rules of elections, district maps, and campaign finance directly affect their power and participation. Through hands-on events, partnerships, and accessible resources, they aim to turn awareness into action and cynicism into confidence.
