Ready to stand in solidarity with the Twin Cities, honor the memory of Renee Good and the others killed by ICE the last few weeks, and use this moment’s national momentum to deliver a serious blow to ICE and Trump’s agenda?
Showing Up for Racial Justice NEO (SURJ NEO) and Indivisible NEO are collaborating to support Minnesota activists and residents with an action Friday, January 23rd!
Please join us in Cleveland to hold Hilton Hotels accountable for housing ICE agents and impose some costs on their collaboration with ICE! Hilton hotels have been housing ICE agents and the national corporation dropped a franchisee in Minneapolis that refused to house ICE agents.
We will be educating the general public driving by with our signs and speaking with people staying at the Hilton. We will encourage hotel customers to use other hotels either immediately or in the future. We will make clear to Hilton employees that we are not targetting them. Ideas for sign content are shared once you register.
Our goal is to bring down ICE by stopping Hilton Hotels from housing ICE agents. We don't know whether this particular hotel has been doing that. We are targeting the whole corporate chain to undermine ICE's ability to kidnap our neighbors.
We will gather to get to know each other after the action at 6:15 PM at the Clevelander Bar and Grill located at 834 Huron Rd. If you can't get to the action due to work hours, feel free to join us there.
A broad coalition of groups across the country is calling for a coordinated Ice Out For Good actions on Friday, January 23rd in solidarity for Minnesota, and to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.
Friday, January 23 is an ICE Out For Good National Day of Solidarity led by Minnesota organizers and national allies from labor, grassroots organizing, mobilization campaigns, advocacy movements, and everyday Americans. Actions are occurring all across the country to fortify their efforts and reach. Let's be part of that movement!
A core principle behind all ICE Out For Good events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
